Out and About - Tea Leaf Cottage

Recently I went junkin' with my good friend, Margaret,
(so, what's new, right?)
at the Orange Circle here in Southern California.
My favorite shop down there is Tea Leaf Cottage.
Three and a half years ago, in this quaint and romantic shop,
I found the most beautiful, one-of-a-kind, vintage bed ever!
(I'll have to share that in a later post.)
Anyway...
It's the first place I run to each time I visit The Circle.
You can easily see why....

(please click on the photos to enlarge for more detail)

I can't wait to see what's new in the huge old time window displays
that flank the sidewalk entrance.
I LOVE all the gold, curvy, frency stuff...
doesn't the scripted writing on the window
depict the display perfectly?

This unique, hand-painted sign greets you
as you enter this lovely shop...

Here are some of the beautiful furnishings you will find
as you enter this fab store...

Although my camera doesn't convey the detail,
the finish of this painted furniture has so much depth.
It just makes these ornate, vintage metal accessories appear even more divine.

Here is another adorable vingette with more of that gorgeous hand-painted furniture.

Isn't this the whimsiest bird cage?
Or is it the whimsiest mannequin?
("whimsiest" is totally a word by the way)

And check out this beauty....

Here is the counter where you would pay for your newly found
treasures that you simply cannot live without.

Isn't she just beautiful?
I wanted to take her home but alas,
she wasn't for sale.
It seems that the owner is quite fond of her as well.
Can you blame her?  I don't think I'd let her go either!

Speaking of the owner....
Her name is Karen Alford.
She's a very kind and friendly woman
with the lovliest shop in all of Orange Circle.

There is so much more to see.
There were so many gorgeous chandeliers!
I didn't take near enough pictures during
my last visit but I'm sure you're already intrigued enough!
Stop by and browse Tea Leaf Cottage whenever you're around.
It's a heavenly place with unique treasures you'll just drool over!

Blessings,
Missy
