Finally My Chateau de Fleurs Post!

I'm finally posting about Chateau de Fleurs!

It was a great time with really great people
from the hosts, to the vendors
and to all the wonderful customers we met.
Christie and Rita are wonderful hosts!

Remember that our truck had to be repaired
during the week of the show?
Well, that got us a little behind so we weren't able
to make a second trip with our stuff...bummer.
that meant we had to bring it Friday morning,
the first day of the show.
Yeah, not fun.
Since everyone else was set up we
couldn't back our truck up to unload,
unless we backed over everyone else's stuff
and I don't think they'd appreciate that very much.

But in the end, after a LOT of trips down the long driveway,
we got it all in.

My friend, Arlene, from Garden Gate Boutique,
shared a space with me.

Here's our spot the first day.

Just to make it harder on ourselves,
on Saturday we decided to change it all around.
Everyone thought we were crazy to do all that work again!

We always do that, we get an idea that something would
look better somewhere else then the next thing
you know we're rearranging everything!

So, here it is the second day.
I realize it looks a little crowded
but the close up pictures look a lot better.

This is the black and white arrangement
we moved up front.
I really like how my floor screen turned out
with the vintage sheet music.
It's too hard to see in this picture but
the top of the vanity has sheet music as well.

This was the middle of the space,
there was a lot more room to walk around
after we rearranged everything.

I love my hot pink chandelier
with Arlene's hot pink lace panel.

This is Arlene's vanity display.
It turned out really cute!

This is a silverware tray I loaded up
with appliques.
It was so tideous but I love the way
it turned out!
Here's the black and white display in the back.
Those are my sheet music doors I did
I use them as a wall in my space at the Galleria.
I was asked several times if they were
for sale but I just can't part with them for now!
Tons of people were interested in this old,
crusty, rusty vintage medicine cabinet but
this little beauty was picked by Christie.
You just might see it all fancied up

I have a few more photos I'm going to share
in another post but in the meantime,
I hope you enjoyed these!

Have a super blessed day all you blogging chickies!

Chateau de Fleurs!

Well, in case you didn't know, Chateau Chic Boutique is a vendor

This Friday and Saturday,
September 17th and 18th
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Hosted by the one and only Christie Repasy
and her very talented SNL, Rita Read of Mammabellarte.

Rita's a real hoot - I could listen to her Italian accent all day!

Also joining me will be my good friend, Arlene,
of The Garden Gate Boutique!
(we used to share a space with at Mission Galleria)

We are finally heading down to start setting up on Wednesday.

I say FINALLY because our truck decided to
have a little problem this week.
(a $675. problem to be exact!)
Of course it happens when we need to haul
a ton of furniture and junk
to this awesome show
(that we are so blessed to be a part of.)

There are 25 hand-selected vendors at this FaBuLouS show!

Click here to check them out.

I'd list them all myself but it's 4 a.m. and
I've GOT to get some sleep.
All the Monsters in the world couldn't help this girl if
I keep this up all week -
but don't think I won't try anyway!

Two more days until the show!

So, what are you waiting for?!
For cryin' out loud.....
Jump in your cars and come junkin' in Fallbrook!

(I also heard a rumor that some people from
a few popular magazines will be there!)

Sincerest Blessings To You All,
Missy

The Little Family Behind CCB

Just to warn you, I haven't posted in like, 2 weeks...
so I'm pretty much showing and telling
what I've been up to in my personal life
(which I don't normally do).
so it's a longer post than usual -
But if you don't mind getting
to know me a little better,
here we go!

I haven't been out junkin' in sooo long it's ridiculous.
Not only are we on a super tight budget,
we've just been pretty busy with life.
Our girls both had their Scholarship auditions at dance.
Of course they had to be on different nights
so that meant two nights at the dance studio -
three hours at Grace's and four hours at Macy's!

(What a Mom won't do for her kids, ya' know?!)

That doesn't even include preparing for the auditions -
the trips to the dance store for new dance shoes,
(and the rosin and knee pads they'll NEVER use! Don't think I'm not taking them back!)
But they love it so it's all worth it - just look at these faces!

Little Miss Grace

 My Macy girl

 Grace got "Fantastic Free Style"

Macy got "Terrific Tap Outfit"

Here they both are at the Scholarship Party.
This was an additional day - whew!  Again, worth it.
Macy is now in Sophomore Scholarship and
Grace is in Freshmen Scholarship.

Then, our little man, Jack, turned 2
(on Back to School Night of course).
Well, since he's the SwEeTeSt boy EVER...
We still had to do something special actually ON his birthday...

I told you we are on a budget, so after the girls' Back to School Night,
we headed over to 31 Flavors for Jack's FREE ice cream cone...
(his FIRST one by the way!)

I think our little monkey really enjoyed his ice cream cone!

And what kind of parents would we be
if we didn't get the girls their own too!

Now that's one big, happy family!

Speaking of a big family,
my Husband comes from a pretty big family
and they're always having some sort of a party.
This one was for cousin Brett,
his 40th birthday to be exact.

But you won't see poor Brett in any of these pictures,
we were too busy taking pictures of ourselves I guess!
You'll see him later at ANOTHER 40th birthday.
This is me and my Husband,
my FNL and my BFF/SNL.

 Aren't they just the cutest?
I can never just refer to Tina as my sister-in-law.
That's because we've been best friends
for 31 years!

Here are cousins Melissa and Tiffany, sisters if you can't tell.
Brett's sisters in fact but I guess he didn't make it
in that picture either, poor Brett.

OK, here's Brett, finally!
But this is from Jeff's 40th birthday party, sorry cousin.
(Brett, Scott, Jeff and Wayne, my Husband)
funny...I don't think I've ever mentioned my Husband's name here!
Anyway, these guys have been friends since they were kids
and they had so much fun that night.
I love seeing my Husband and his friends
reminisce and laugh about the old days.
Boy do they have some stories -
and I won't be telling any of them here!

My Husband and I have known each other for over 30 years
but only married for 3 1/2.
If you don't know our story already,
you can check out my other blog (One Blessed Mommie)

Well, I guess that's it for now with the family stuff.

As for Chateau Chic Boutique....

And I'm getting ready for a great sale at
Chateau de Fleurs - September 17th & 18th.

I would guess you all know the super talented Christie Repasy.
Check out her blog here.
Christie and her SNL, Rita Reade of Mammabellarte, host
a FabUlouS sale every 3 months in Fallbrook, CA
and I'm soooo excited to be a part of it!

Am I ready yet?  Of course not...
I seem to work better under pressure for some reason.
So, there's gonna be some long days and late nights until then.
I'm so grateful my Husand will be helping me -
I know I've already told you all how AWESOME he is,
but it is oh so true!

I know this next week is gonna be so hectic and crazy.
(Did I mention the girls start school this Tuesday?)
But every girl needs a junkin' break, right?
Even if I have no money to spend...
there's nothing like a long day out junkin' with a girlfriend.
And of course I'll be with my dear, sweet friend, Margaret!
We're heading out to Orange County tomorrow morning
and we're gonna hit as many Goodwills as we can stand.
We'll hit our usual spots at the Orange Circle...
Tea Leaf Cottage and Country Roads and everything in between!

Hopefully, I'll have time for more posting before the show!
In the meantime, I pray you all have a great week!

Sincere Blessings,

Missy
